General information

The passport of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan (hereinafter - the passport) is a single document confirming the identity of a citizen outside the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as issued to him to exercise the right to leave and enter the country.

Citizens temporarily and permanently residing in the United States shall be issued the passport through the Embassy of Azerbaijan.

The passports are printed at the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Baku. Obtaining passports through the Consular Section of the Embassy usually takes 2-3 months.
