A Reception was Held in Washington, D.C. with the Participants of the Central Asia–Caucasus Fellowship Program
A reception was organized at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States for the participants of the Central Asia–Caucasus Fellowship Program (CAMCA) of the Rumsfeld Foundation.
The event was attended by Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim, representatives of the Rumsfeld Foundation, and CAMCA program fellows.
Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim welcomed the guests and noted that meetings with program participants had already become a tradition. He highly appreciated the work done by the CAMCA program in terms of addressing regional issues. He also reminded that the annual CAMCA meeting will be held in Baku next year.
Sarah Tanucci, Executive Director of the Rumsfeld Foundation, expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with Azerbaijan in her speech. She spoke about the long-standing close relations with the Azerbaijani embassy and thanked the organizers for the meeting.
The event then continued with discussions and networking.
The CAMCA program has been bringing together representatives from 10 countries in Central Asia, Afghanistan, Mongolia, and the South Caucasus region every year since 2008, during the spring and fall. The program lasts for 5 weeks.
