Conference on “The US in the South Caucasus: Mapping New Strategic Opportunities” held in Washington, D.C.
A conference titled “The United States in the South Caucasus: Mapping New Strategic Opportunities” was held in Washington, D.C., organized by the Hudson Institute.
The event was dedicated to the peace agreement recently signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington, D.C., as well as to the latest developments in the region. Leading U.S. experts and officials took part in the discussions.
As part of the conference, a panel discussion on “Regional Implications of Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace” was moderated by Mike Doran, Director of the Hudson Institute’s Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East. The panel featured Efgan Nifti, Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian Policy Center; Ilan Berman, Senior Vice President of the American Foreign Policy Council; and Luke Coffey, Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute.
Later, Senator Steve Daines, a member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, addressed the conference participants.
The event concluded with a second panel discussion titled “The Future of US–Azerbaijan Relations,” featuring Mike Doran and Khazar Ibrahim, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United States.
