102nd Anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev Commemorated in Washington, D.C.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States organized a special event to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The event was attended by members of the Azerbaijani community, as well as Azerbaijani students studying in the United States.
In his speech, Khazar Ibrahim, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States, highlighted the key ideas proposed by National Leader Heydar Aliyev for the future of Azerbaijan. The Ambassador emphasized that National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s contributions are not only of great importance to Azerbaijan, but also to the world at large. He noted that, as a result of these visionary ideas, Azerbaijan has evolved into a strong and prosperous nation. Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the country continues to progress towards further development.
The Ambassador also spoke about National Leader’s longstanding commitment to youth and education. In recognition of academic excellence, the Ambassador presented awards to students who had achieved outstanding results in their studies. Following the ceremony, attendees placed flowers at the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, located at the Embassy.
The event continued with video clips showcasing Heydar Aliyev’s significant contributions, core ideas, and youth-focused policies.
Additionally, a photo exhibition was organized at the event, offering a glimpse into the activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, including his official and business visits to the United States.
