Remembrance Day Commemoration Held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the United States
Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the United States hosted a commemoration event dedicated to September 27 – Remembrance Day.
The commemoration event brought together representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora and Azerbaijani students studying in the United States. The event began with a moment of silence to honor the dear memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Azerbaijan’s territories.
In his address, Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim stated that the martyrs’ blood paved the way for victory for the motherland, and every Azerbaijani remains eternally indebted to them. He emphasized that Azerbaijan’s victory was achieved not only on the battlefield but also at the negotiating table. As the Ambassador noted, quoting President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has secured both a military triumph and lasting peace.
“Today, we proudly declare that we are a victorious nation — not only in our region but across the world. It is the duty of our youth to ensure that such victories continue, and I am confident that together we will achieve this,” said Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim.
The event concluded with the screening of a video dedicated to 27 September – Remembrance Day.
